11 A.M. Labor Day Picnic. Join us at the Roslyn Center Pavilion at 8727 River Road (one quarter mile east of Parham).  We plan to eat at noon, then play volleyball or swim from 1 to 3pm.  We are co-sponsoring this picnic with Phoenix Singles Club.  Bring your food to grill and a dish to share.  Condiments, beverages and paper products provided.  $3 members/$4 others.  RSVP's appreciated by Email early. 8:00 P.M. Discovery Meeting. Discussions begin at 8:15. Doors open at 7:45 P.M. $3 members; $4 others. The meeting will be at Roslyn Retreat Pavilion on 8727 River Road one-half mile east of Parham (see map Color or Black&White)

5:00 P.M. Bogey's Putt-Putt Golf Cost: $5.00/18 holes. Look for coupon in Markets Best. We will go and get a bite to eat afterwards at players choice. Children welcome. 1675 Ashland Road. (see map Color or Black&White) RSVP is appreciated.

8:30 P.M. Swing Dancing at 6004 W. Broad Street. Instructions 7:30 to 8:30, general dancing from 8:30 to 11:00 P.M. Admission $6; refreshments provided.

3:00 P.M. Classical and Jazz Music by pianist Russell Wilson. He'll be playing music by Brahms, Chopin, Barber and others. It starts at 3 p.m. in the Camp Concert Hall at the University of Richmond. Meet Sharyn by 2:30 outside the auditorium. After the concert, we can go for a walk around the lake and then for dinner at Mio's Italian Resturant at 8801 Three Chopt Rd. which is near the old Ridge Theater. You can come for all this or just for dinner. We should be at the restaurant by 6:15. Call Sharyn by noon Sunday to RSVP and she will give you more info if you need it. Directions to the concert at Modlin Center.

7:00 P.M. Ballroom Dancing Dance with the USABDA regulars until 9:30 P.M. at The Dance Space at 6004 W. Broad St. Wear lightweight shoes that glide. $5 for USBDA members; $7 for nonmembers.

2:00 P.M. Hollywood Cemetery Meet at Albemarle and Cherry in Oregon Hill. Two hour walking tour explores this lovely historic cemetery park with discussions of the landscape design, art and architecture, monument styles, and biographies of the notable tenants. $7 walk up or $6 in advance by calling the Valentine Museum, 649-0711.

7:30 P.M. Dance. We are co-sponsoring this dance with the Phoenix Singles Club at Roslyn Center Pavilion, 8727 River Road (one quarter mile east of Parham).  This dance is for all singles.  Put on your dancing shoes from 7:30-10:30 and dance to tunes spun by DJ Bob Massengill.  Dress is casual.  Beer and wine will be for sale.  Admission is $4 members/$6 others. (see map Color or Black&White).  This dance is instead of the normal second meeting. 6:00 P.M. Food Court and a Movie Meet me at Chesterfield Towne Center Mall on Midlothian at 6pm at the Food Court for dinner.  When our stomachs are full we will decide which movie to see.
