7:30-10:30P.M. Dance Solo/Discovery is sponsoring this dance but an invitation is extended to all singles and we have invited many other singles groups. The dance will be held at the Roslyn Center Pavilion, located at 8727 River Road (1/2 mile mile east of Parham) from 7:30-10:30pm. Dress is casual and should be weather appropriate. We will have a fire if it is chilly. Snacks will be provided. Beer and Wine will be for sale. Admission: $3/SD members and $5/others. 5:30P.M. Bogey Located at 1675 Ashland Rd.. Please join us for another exciting game of Putt-Putt. This course is like no other, and strategies change each month. How to make a better hit with less strokes is a real challenge. You will have a good time, so come on out and at least try it. This could be the last game of the season, but I may do another the early part of November if everyone else is up for it. Hope to see you on the Greens for laughter and fun. 6:30P.M. Dinner & Haunt Tour Located at River City Diner/Haunts of Richmond. First we'll meet for dinner at River City Diner, between 17th & 18th Sts on Main St and then go around the corner for a spooky pre-Halloween ghost stories and legends tour on some sights in Shockoe Bottom (be prepared to walk). The price for the tour is $13.50 each for 10, or $12.75 each for 12 or more, plus whatever you choose for dinner. Since we already have 8 confirmed, we only need 2 more to get a special tour at 8:00 vs waiting until 9:30. This is a great tour! Cancelled if raining. 11:00P.M. Apples & Wine Join me for a day trip to the Charlottesville Area to buy freshly picked apples and freshly pressed cider at Carter's Mountain. Then we will visit a few wineries and sample the pressed grapes and maybe even buy a bottle. Plan on a late lunch at the Kluge Wintery (or bring your own Picnic). Most of the wineries charge a few dollars for a tasting fee. Meet at the communter lot (Parham & Fordson - 2 blks S of I-64)) at 11am. 9:00 AMP.M. Food Bank Come help the food bank. 9AM to Noon. We will sort and stock food and maybe do a little clean up. This is your chance to give a little to your community. We are lucky not to be hungry. Open your hearts and help those who are. The only cost to you is a little time. In return many will benefit. There will be another group of 15 helping that day.
