6:30P.M.Picnic & a PlayJoin us for a picnic dinner at 6:30pm in the gazebo behind the Walkerton Tavern (2892 Mountain Rd-west of Woodman). Bring your dinner, beverage and a chair. Park in the lot for the Glen Allen Cultural Center then after dinner we will walk over to the Cultural Center around 7:45pm to see the comedy "Funny Money". A mild-mannered CPA accidentally picks up the wrong briefcase, one full of money, which he assumes is illicit cash and he decides to keep, which leads to increasingly hysterical situations. 5:30P.M. Groovin' in the Garden Located at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens. Old Crow Medicine Show! This is a "can't miss" performance! These wonderful folk/jazz/blues/country/old time musicians put on a terrific show. They've been on Prarie Home Companion, in the PHC movie and on Austin City Limits. Tickets are $25.00. I know it's pricey by Solo standards but you should save up for this one. You can save processing fees of $3.75 by purchasing tickets at the Garden during regular hours of 9 - 5. Gates for this event open at 5:30 and the show starts at 6:00. Go to their website and listen to "I Hear Them All" and you'll see why I love these guys. Mon, May 25

11:30-2:30P.M. Memorial Day PicnicJoin us at the Roslyn Center Pavilion at 8727 River Road (one half mile east of the intersection with Parham). We will meet at 11:30am to socialize, then start the Grill at 11:45am and Eat from 12-1. After lunch we can play volleyball or take a walk around the property, but no swimming since Roslyn has permanently closed the pool. If it looks like rain bring along some indoor games. All singles and Solo Alumni are welcome. Bring your own food to grill and bring a dish to share. Solo will provide the condiments, beverages and paper products. Cost: $4 SD members and $6 for others.
