After talking with some members and finding out that they have never eaten here before, I thought what the heck - this will be a great dinner out during the week. Then we will meet at the Glen Allen Cultural Center on Mountain Road (west of Woodman) around 7:45pm to see "On the Twentieth Century". The play is about a merry, madcap journey of a producer and his henchman, a hollywood star and a rival producer aboard a luxury train. Call 501-5859 to make a reservation. What a great place to discover local artisans and hear them talk about their work, hear live music and sample wonderful wines from this and 3 other wineries. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 the day of the event. 7:00P.M. N.I.TS.I.T. Goes N.I.T. That's right, this month it's the Northside Italian Tour! Seeing that most of the attendees to these affairs are from north of the James, it's only fair to cut them a break from long trips. So, the first N.I.T. will occur at Vinny's Italian Kitchen West, 8115 W. Broad, at the Pine Dell Shopping Center (yes, another strip with a martial arts studio). It's just east of Fuddrucker's, west of the Lone Star Steakhouse and across the street from Kabuto's. To let me know you', Med (green, white, red tricolor). It'll be held May 23 (the day after my physical and weigh-in), at 7 p.m. To let me know you're coming, you can call me at home through the Tuesday before at 744-4903 or at work 968-3229 up to 5:30 on that Wednesday. 11A.M.-3P.M. Memorial Day PicnicJoin us at the Roslyn Center Pavilion at 8727 River Road (one half mile east of the intersection with Parham). We will meet at 11am to socialize, then start the Grill at 11:45am and Eat from 12-1. After lunch we can play volleyball or take a walk around the property, but no swimming since Roslyn has permanently closed the pool. If it looks like rain bring along some indoor games. All singles are welcome. Bring your own food to grill and bring a dish to share. Solo will provide the condiments, beverages and paper products. Cost: $4 SD members and $6 for others.
