7:00 P.M. Dinner at the Robin Inn at 2601 Park Avenue. Join Al Davis and the regulars for dinner and camaraderie ($6-$8).

8:00 P.M. Zydeco Dance. Join friends for some dancing fun at the Boulevard Deli Cafe at 5218 W. Broad Street. Live music by Dikki Du and the Zydeco Crew. Dance workshop at 7:00. $7.

8:00 P.M. Discovery Meeting. The holiday season is a time for making peace. What does peace mean to you? Which country do you think is the most peaceful? Why do you think that country is so peaceful? Do you think there will ever be a time when there is no war in the world? What do you think is the major cause countries and groups fight each other? What can you do personally to make the worlld a more peaceful place? Discussions begin at 8:15. At the Friends Meeting House at 4500 Kensington corner of Commonwealth. Doors open at 7:30 P.M. $3 members; $4 others.

8:30 P.M. Swing Dancing at 6004 W. Broad Street. Instructions 7:30 to 8:30, general dancing from 8:30 to 11:00 P.M. Admission $6; refreshments provided.

7:00 P.M. Ballroom Dancing Dance with the USABDA regulars until 9:30 P.M. at The Dance Space. Wear lightweight shoes that glide. $5 for USBDA members; $7 for nonmembers. 6004 West Broad Street.

6:00 P.M. CiCi's. Join friends for an all-you-can-eat pizza dinner at Merchant's Walk Shopping Center on Broad Street one mile east of Parham.

Fri/13

5:30 P.M. Botanical Garden Light Fest. Meet the gang at the Admissions Desk of the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden or in the Garden Cafe for dinner. After dinner we will tour the Garden Light Fest. Admission $9; seniors $7.

Sat/14

5:30 P.M. Parade of Lights. Meet at the Recycling Center on Mayo's Island and capool to the Osborne Boat Landing to view the parade of decorated river boats.

8:00 P.M. Contra Dancing at TADAMS at Ginter Park Recreation Center located at the corner of Walton and Hawthorne, one block southeast of Laburnum and Chamberlayne Avenues. Join the Traditional American Dance and Music Society to enjoy contra dancing. Dance Workshop for beginners at 7:00 P.M., followed by dancing at 8:00 P.M. You do not need to know how to contra dance. Admission is $4 for members and $7 for others.

8:00 P.M. Contra Dancing at TADAMS at Ginter Park Recreation Center located at the corner of Walton and Hawthorne, one block southeast of Laburnum and Chamberlayne Avenues. Join the Traditional American Dance and Music Society to enjoy contra dancing at the group's Annual Snowflake Ball. You do not need to know how to contra dance. No beginners' workshop for this event. $5 members, $8 others.

New Year's Eve Party.Bring in the new year with members, alumni, and guests at a dance party. Music provided by DJ Bob Massengill. Soda, champangne, and sparkling cider at midnight. Beer and wine cash bar. Bring a snack to share and your favorite dance CDs. At the Walton Park Community Park Center at 530 Walton Park Road. From Richmond west on Midlothian (Route 60); left at Woolridge which is the first left after Sam's Club, then left onto Walton Park. The clubhouse is on the right after passing seven streets on that side. Admission $5.
