8:00 P.M. Discovery Meeting. Discussions begin at 8:15. Doors open at 7:45 P.M. $3 members; $4 others. The meeting will be at Roslyn Retreat Pavilion on 8727 River Road one-half mile east of Parham (see map Color or Black&White)

8:30 P.M. Ragtime at Dogwood Dell  Join me for the last event of the Dogwood Dell season.  A "giant musical slice of turn-of-the-20th century American life based on the novel by E.L. Doctorow".  Former Solo member Pat Reddington will be among the cast.  I will be there at 7:30 to save spaces.  Bring your own chair, something to drink and insect spray, if you need it. 2:00 P.M. Hollywood Cemetery Meet at Albemarle and Cherry in Oregon Hill. Two hour walking tour explores this lovely historic cemetery park with discussions of the landscape design, art and architecture, monument styles, and biographies of the notable tenants. $7 walk up or $6 in advance by calling the Valentine Museum, 649-0711.
