5-9P.M. French Film Festival Meet me at the Byrd Theater at 2908 W. Cary Street at 4:30 to see the first two movies of the festival. All movies have English subtitles. At 5pm the movie Brodeuses is about a pregnant teen who takes refuge with an embroiderer for haute couture des signers and the bond that develops between the women. At 7pm the movie Marriages is about three different marriages: one couple on their wedding day, another after 10 years together, & another who have been fighting for 10 years and are attempting to reconcile their differences. Tickets are $8 per movie and can be purchased 1/2 hour before the movie starts or buy a pass for the whole festival (Fri-Sun) for $60 by calling 827-FILM or frenchfilm@vcu.edu. Then we will meet at the Chamberlayne Actors Theatre, 319 North Wilkinson Road, for their production of The Woman in Black. 6:30P.M. Chez Roue Orchette Located at Ashland Coffee & Tea Company. Meet me at the Applebee's entrance at Regency Square if you'd like to car pool to Ashland. This place has a wonderful listening room which is non-smoking and casual. We can have dinner before the concert starts at 8:00. This group plays New Orleans style jazz as well as other types of music, including and occasional country song! The lead singer has a raspy voice that's just right for jazz. 5:00P.M. Bogeys Located at 1675 Ashland Rd.. Its that time of year again. Thank goodness! Please join me in a game of 18 hole putt-putt at this popular place. Afterwards we will go have a bite to eat at player's choice:(you decide)where we are going to eat. If inclement weather, we will still meet and decide on Dinner, either way it will be an event. Come on and join us, this is a good way to meet new and old friends as we gather around the greens for idle chit-chat. You will have a good time and wished why you never played with before now.
